Q: Do I have to pay an "ESTIMATE FEE" just to get you to look at my T.V., V.C.R. or Microwave oven? A: We feel that up front fees are bogus charges and with 40 years of experience, we have a pretty good idea of approximate repair costs due to similar repairs we have done where the symptoms were the same. The answer is an emphatic NO! (Hey, you're trusting us with your merchandise - what more do we want?)
Q: I'm not certain whether to repair or replace my equipment, maybe I should just buy a new one. I don't want to spend more on it than it's worth. A: That is but one of the many reasons to let a professional decide. Part of the repair cost is for an established routine that is followed in your best interests. It does not benefit anyone to repair an item for more than its value, you will not be back and will justifiably have bad feelings about this industry in general. First of all, we don't do anything without your approval. Secondly, we give you an opinion "as if it were our own merchandise" taking into account age, condition, estimated cost of repair, warranty considerations (can we guaranty it or can't we) as to whether to recommend repair or replacement. (Actually, we feel that if we can repair for less than 1/2 the cost of replacement - assuming age is not a factor - and guaranty the unit, then we've provided a service for our customer)
Q; There was a lightning storm and now our T.V., V.C.R. or Microwave will not operate properly or not at all. The Insurance Co. wants something in writing from a qualified service shop, can you help? A: Yes, we have never been challenged or had a dispute with an Insurance Co. We have the forms you will need to provide to your Insurance Co. We analyze your equipment, and make an informed recommendation as to repair or replacement (Usually depends on whether or not we can guaranty the repair so as to not cause you any inconvenience in the future). There is a $35.00 min. charge that only applies if unit is not repaired and is an insurance claim.
Q: My picture is gone, I think the picture tube is bad, how much is that to repair? A: The picture tube is not economical to replace - that's the bad news. MOST picture related problems are not caused by a bad picture tube. Rather, the circuits that drive the picture tube are in need of service, - The good news is that it should be no more than just an ordinary repair.
Q: How long does it usually take to complete a repair? We consider it at least as important as a heart-lung machine , especially around football season! A: Turn around time is usually around 5 - 10 working days depending on part orders, availability, delivery, etc,. We would rather say 5-10 days and get it done in less time than to say 1-3 days and not get it done until……………? Also, our DRIVE UP WINDOW is still in it's planning stages, when its done, we will put a sign up "IN BY NINE - OUT BY FIVE"! Just kidding, we look forward to a great working relationship.
